Integrity in everything we do

A reputation is built on how a company behaves when no one is watching. These principles govern how everyone at Hazaar does business, and we expect the same of everyone who works with us.

Our principles

How we do business

  • The law is our minimum

We comply with every law that applies to us, and set our own standards above it.

  • No bribery, ever

We do not offer, pay, request or accept bribes or improper payments, directly or through anyone else.

  • Conflicts declared and managed

Decisions are made in Hazaar’s interest. Any conflict of interest is declared and managed.

  • Fair dealing

We deal fairly and in writing with partners, suppliers and customers.

  • Honest records

We keep our books, records, test results and documents complete and accurate.

  • Information protected

We protect personal and confidential information and use it only for its proper purpose.

  • Respect for people

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or abuse of any kind.

  • Speaking up is protected

Anyone can raise a concern, and we never retaliate against anyone who does so in good faith.

In practice

What these principles mean day to day

Integrity in practice

  • Gifts and hospitality are accepted or given only if modest and occasional, and never while a contract is being decided. Anything above a token value is recorded.
  • Partners, suppliers and contractors are chosen on merit, through a fair and documented process.
  • Every significant decision is recorded, with a designated partner accountable for it.
  • Everyone at Hazaar follows our Code of Business Conduct, and the firms we work with follow our Partner Code of Conduct.
  • Breaches are investigated and dealt with, whoever is involved.

Report a concern in confidence
