Our compliance programme
We treat the law as the minimum, not the goal. Our compliance programme is how we make sure that Hazaar, and everyone who acts for us, keeps to the law and to the standards we publish on this website.
Our approach
Prevent, detect, respond
The programme has three parts. Each applies to every decision we make and to every firm we work with.
Prevent
We set clear codes and put our commitments in writing. Everyone our Code of Business Conduct covers confirms in writing, when they join and every year, that they have read it and will follow it. We check land, partners and agreements before we commit to them, and our Partner Code of Conduct is part of every agreement with a partner.
Detect
We record our decisions, and every commitment has a named owner. Work is checked independently at key stages, and anyone, inside or outside Hazaar, can report a concern in confidence.
Respond
A designated partner reads every report. We look into concerns fairly and promptly, act where action is needed, whoever is involved, and report to the authorities where the law requires. We learn from every case.
Our codes
One standard, written down
Two codes set out what we expect. They hold the firms we work with to the same standards we hold ourselves to.
Code of Business Conduct
Read the code about Code of Business ConductFor the designated partners of Hazaar Group LLP, every employee, and anyone who acts on Hazaar’s behalf. The designated partners are bound by it first.
Partner Code of Conduct
Read the code about Partner Code of ConductFor every organisation and individual that provides goods or services to Hazaar, and their subcontractors at every tier.
Making the right decision
No code can foresee every situation. When you are unsure, ask yourself:
- Is it legal, and is it consistent with our code and our standards?
- Would I be comfortable if it were recorded in writing and read by the designated partners, a regulator or a journalist?
- Would it still look right in 30 years?
- Does it treat everyone affected fairly, including people who are not in the room?
If the answer to any of these is no, or you are not sure, stop and ask a designated partner before you act.

Speaking up
Report a concern, without fear of retaliation
If you see or suspect conduct that breaks our codes, the law or our standards, tell us. Anyone can report, in confidence, by email to info@hazaar.co.in with “Integrity” in the subject.
We do not tolerate retaliation of any kind against anyone who raises a concern in good faith, or who helps with an investigation. Retaliation is itself a serious breach of our code, and we require the same of our partners.
Policy library

Each document says what we commit to and whom it applies to. The designated partners review every one at least once a year.
